Africa Energies Summit

Morocco holds one of Africa’s richest and most thoroughly documented geological archives. ONHYM’s national data repository contains over 50 years of well logs, seismic surveys, geochemical analyses and remote-sensing data. This three-day training programme unlocks that resource for qualified professionals.

Training Curriculum

  • Day 1 — Database Architecture: ONHYM’s data management system, data standards, quality control protocols, access procedures
  • Day 2 — GIS and Mapping: ArcGIS and QGIS workflows, geological map production, acreage visualisation, integration of satellite imagery
  • Day 3 — Exploration Data Interpretation: Well-log analysis, seismic horizon picking, geochemical anomaly mapping, generating drill-ready prospects

Who Should Attend

Geologists, geophysicists and data scientists working in exploration — whether with ONHYM, partner companies or academic institutions. Maximum 20 participants per session. Certificate of completion issued by ONHYM upon successful assessment.
